Monir Tech Solutions ("we", "us", or "our") operates the DineSync Hub service and the DineSync for Clover WordPress plugin. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our services.
Our Role and the App
This Privacy Policy applies to DineSync for WooCommerce (also marketed as "DineSync for Clover" on WordPress.org), a software integration that synchronizes data between your WooCommerce website and your Clover Point of Sale system.
We process personal data on behalf of the merchant (the business using our App) and for the sole and exclusive benefit of that merchant. We act as a Service Provider under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and as a Processor under other applicable privacy laws. We do not collect, retain, use, or disclose personal data for any purpose other than providing the services described in this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service.
Information You Provide
When you connect your WooCommerce store to Clover POS through the DineSync Hub, we collect:
- Site Information: Your WordPress site URL, admin email address, and store identification data
- Clover Merchant Information: Clover merchant ID, merchant name, and environment (production or sandbox)
- Plugin Information: Plugin version, connection method (OAuth or manual), and activation status
Information Collected Automatically
When your plugin communicates with the DineSync Hub, we automatically collect:
- Heartbeat Data: Connection status pings sent every 15 minutes to monitor service health
- Order Sync Reports: Order IDs and order totals for usage tracking and billing purposes. We do not collect the contents of orders, customer personal information, or payment details through these reports.
- Webhook Events: Event payloads forwarded from Clover to your site. These pass through our servers but are not stored permanently.
Information We Do NOT Collect
- Customer names, addresses, email addresses, or phone numbers from your orders
- Payment card details or financial account information
- Product descriptions or images
- Passwords
A note on OAuth tokens: OAuth tokens issued by Clover are securely stored by the DineSync Hub using encryption at rest. Tokens are used only to authenticate API calls on your behalf and are never shared with third parties.
How We Use Information
We use the collected information to:
- Provide the Service: Facilitate OAuth authentication, forward webhook events from Clover to your WooCommerce site, and maintain your connection
- Monitor Service Health: Track connection status via heartbeat pings to detect and resolve outages
- Usage Tracking: Monitor order sync volume for billing and plan management
- Improve Our Services: Analyze aggregate usage patterns to improve reliability and performance
- Communicate: Send service-related notifications such as outage alerts or required updates
Data Storage and Security
- All data is transmitted over HTTPS (TLS 1.2 or higher)
- Webhook payloads are forwarded in real-time and not stored permanently on our servers
- OAuth credentials are encrypted at rest
- Our servers are hosted on secure, professionally managed infrastructure
- We implement industry-standard security measures including firewalls, access controls, and regular security updates
Despite these measures, no system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your information to third parties. We may share information only in the following circumstances:
- Clover POS: Data is exchanged with Clover's API (api.clover.com) as required to provide the synchronization service. Clover's privacy policy governs their use of this data: https://www.clover.com/privacy
- Service Providers: We use trusted infrastructure providers (cloud hosting, database, and related services) that process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality obligations
- Legal Requirements: If required by law, regulation, or legal process
- Service Protection: To protect the rights, safety, or property of Monir Tech Solutions, our users, or the public
We Do Not Sell Personal Data
Monir Tech Solutions does not sell, rent, trade, or share personal data for cross-context behavioral advertising or any commercial purpose beyond providing the App's services. This applies to data about merchants and data about merchants' customers.
Data Retention
- Account Data: Retained while your plugin is actively connected. When you disconnect from the DineSync Hub, your merchant registration data is deleted.
- Heartbeat Logs: Retained for 30 days for service monitoring purposes
- Order Sync Reports: Retained for the current billing period plus 90 days
- Webhook Payloads: Not stored — forwarded in real-time only
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about your merchant account
- Deletion: Request deletion of your data by disconnecting from the DineSync Hub or contacting us
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate information
- Portability: Request your data in a machine-readable format

Plugin Data (Local to Your Site)
The DineSync for Clover plugin stores the following data locally on your WordPress site:
- Clover item IDs and mapping data as WooCommerce product metadata
- Sync logs in a custom database table, automatically cleaned up after 30 days
- Plugin settings in the WordPress options table
This data is stored entirely on your server and is not transmitted to us except as described above. Uninstalling the plugin removes all plugin-specific data from your site.
Merchants' Responsibility to Their Customers
If you are a merchant using the App, you remain the data controller for your customers' personal information. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining your own privacy policy that discloses how your customers' data is collected and used
- Obtaining any consents required from your customers under applicable law
- Responding to requests from your customers regarding their personal data
If you are a customer of a business that uses our App and wish to exercise rights regarding your personal data, please contact that business directly. We process your data only on the merchant's behalf.
International Data Transfers
Our services are operated from the United States. If you access the App from outside the United States, your data may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States. By using the App, you consent to this transfer. We take appropriate measures to ensure your data receives an adequate level of protection in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
Children's Privacy
Our services are not directed to individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify active users of material changes by email or through the plugin's admin interface. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
